Our Technology

To provide the best possible eye care services, our practice is stocked with high-end technology.
This technology includes:
A state-of-the-art digital camera which can take both photos and video clips of the structures of your eyes. This is a vital tool in our practice as it allows us to document eye conditions including cataracts, corneal ulcers and eyelid abnormalities. Our digital slit lamp also includes a built-in infrared (IR) filter, which helps diagnose dry eyes.
A medical imaging tool that allows us to examine the cross-sections of your eyeballs using infrared lights. It is crucial in detecting and diagnosing eye disorders at the earliest onset. We use the state-of-the-art Nidek RS330 Retina Scan Duo OCT, which incorporates Anterior OCT and Retinal OCT with Fundus auto-fluorescence (FAF) technology and Digital Retinal Photography, all in one machine.
A precision instrument that uses reflections from its inbuilt rings to measure the shape of your cornea. This device is considered the gold standard for fitting specialty contact lenses, as it uses 32 rings and 9,200 measurement points to map out 102,000 analysed points. With such precision, we can fit advanced contact lenses like Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) and can quantify dry eye factors including tear evaporation rates.
A piece of technology that is very useful for measuring your visual field (peripheral vision), as well as screening and monitoring glaucoma and detecting any scotomas (abnormal blind spots) caused by neurological defects. This device is one of only few systems that is capable to produce a report to illustrate visual field changes between two or more visits, making it especially helpful for monitoring any disease progression.
A recently patented hand-held device that helps treat Anterior Blepharitis. The BlephEx™ treatment is safe and painless, and is extremely effective at removing any scurf and debris caused by excessive microorganism growth. It is a revolutionary tool that has a medical grade micro-sponge, which precisely and gently scrubs along the edge of your eyelids.
One of the most effective ways of managing Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). MGD is the most common type of dry eyes that causes symptoms such as stinging, burning, grittiness, red eyes and fluctuating vision between blinks. Blephasteam® improves your ocular health and relieves your dry eyes by using a steam chamber that delivers a latent moist heat around your eyelids. This effectively helps with managing your MGD by melting the blocked oil in the glands and clearing the oil. As a result, your Meibomian glands will start secreting fresh new oil and this will prevent further deterioration.
